Dollis Hill Replacement Retaining Wall

Delivered for London Underground, this project involved replacing a failing retaining wall adjacent to the live Metropolitan and Jubilee lines. Enable Infrastructure utilised a King Post Wall solution to stabilise the cutting slope, overcoming hazardous ground conditions and severe logistical constraints to deliver the scheme safely and on programme.

Soho Depot – Phase II

Enable Infrastructure completed Phase 2 of the Soho EMU Depot upgrade for West Midlands Trains, following successful delivery of Phase 1. Works included demolition of eight concrete walkways, installation of GRP replacements, deep drainage systems, CET plantroom, and modernised lighting. Despite complex site constraints, Enable delivered safely, on time, and under budget—saving £1.3 million through value engineering.

eHGV CHARGING HUB @ NISSAN SUNDERLAND

Enable Infrastructure designed, built, and commissioned a cutting-edge electric heavy goods vehicle charging hub at Nissan’s Sunderland plant, supporting the UK’s ZEHID decarbonisation initiative. The hub features a mix of high-capacity 184kW and 360kW chargers in both drive-through and pull-in layouts, powered by a dedicated 2.5MVA substation. Despite complex ground conditions and cable routing challenges, Enable delivered a future-ready solution that meets the demands of modern electric logistics.

Enable Infrastructure delivered a vital utility upgrade at UKAEA’s Culham Campus to support future expansion of its fusion energy research facilities. The project involved the design and installation of high-voltage power, water, and data infrastructure across a 2km route, with careful planning to preserve environmental and heritage assets. EARTHING & BONDING – CVL E&B

Enable Infrastructure successfully delivered Earthing & Bonding works (Package 12) across the ABD and THT Lines as part of the Core Valley Lines electrification project. Working in close collaboration with Transport for Wales and Amey, the project included bonding at 12 stations—4 major and 8 minor—and civils enhancements to support future-proof installations. Notably, significant works were completed at the new Porth transport hub, ensuring compliance with BS7671 and Electricity at Work Regulations.

READING INDEPENDENT FEEDER

Enable Infrastructure delivered a new high-voltage electricity supply to the Reading Auto Transformer Feeder Site (ATFS), enhancing power resilience across the Wales and Western network. The 17km HV cable route from Holly Cross ATFS—powered by Bramley National Grid—forms part of the 25kV Rationalised Autotransformer System (RATS), supporting electric train operations between London, Cardiff, and Newbury. The project included complex civil and electrical works, environmental mitigation, and stakeholder coordination to future-proof the network.

Network Rail contracted Enable Infrastructure to maintain, assess, and upgrade track ancillary assets across the Southeast region. Key deliverables include repairing drainage, longitudinal timbers, level crossings, and constructing road-rail access points. Challenges included last-minute access cancellations and emergency mobilisations.
