HIGHWAYS
Our Enable Power Systems teams are often called upon to support the civils work undertaken by Enable Infrastructure (formerly known as BCM Construction) in our highways programmes. With cabling a major consideration in projects ranging from motorways to main roads in urban areas, the transferable skills developed by Enable Power Systems over long years in the rail sector often prove invaluable.
One example was the resurfacing of Thamesdown Drive, a major thoroughfare in Swindon. Since this busy road included junctions serving local housing, numerous businesses, and a shopping centre, new slot-cutting and cabling for traffic control signals was an important element of the project, which was delivered successfully for our client, Swindon Borough Council.
