Thinking about depot electrification? Now is the time to act.

June 16, 2026

With the Government’s Depot Charging Scheme currently open, organisations planning depot charging for HGVs, vans or coaches have an opportunity to secure support towards eligible infrastructure costs. The first application window runs until 30 June 2026 (or earlier if funding is exhausted) and will fund 70% of charge point and civil costs, up to £1 million across all sites.

For operators considering the transition to electric fleets, the challenge is often about more than simply installing charge points. Successful depot electrification depends on early planning around site layout, grid capacity, civil works, electrical infrastructure and delivery within live operational environments. Enable Infrastructure supports clients across that wider process, from application strategy and technical design through to grid connections, construction, installation and commissioning.

Our experience in this area spans a growing portfolio of charging and wider energy infrastructure projects, including schemes delivered across major freight, logistics and commercial environments. The slide deck below outlines the funding opportunity, Enable Infrastructure’s end-to-end service offer, and selected examples of relevant project experience in more detail.
