Here at Enable Infrastructure, we’re proud to support the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) at Culham Campus, where pioneering fusion energy research meets robust infrastructure development.
Since October, our teams – including Enable Infrastructure, Enable Energy Connections, Enable Hire & Welfare, Enable Resourcing, and Enable Design – have been delivering critical power capacity and utility upgrades to future-proof this national centre of innovation.
The project includes vital upgrades:
- 2 x 11kV High Voltage ring mains to strengthen power supply
- 6 Ring Main Units (RMUs) for enhanced electrical distribution
- Water mains and data infrastructure to support site expansion
- Comprehensive utility corridor development
- 1782m of ground excavation and roadworks to improve access
With our NERS accreditation, Enable Infrastructure has the expertise to design, install, and commission essential power networks, ensuring this world-leading fusion research facility can continue to meet its growing demands.
By delivering forward-thinking infrastructure solutions, we’re not just upgrading a site -we’re helping to empower the future of sustainable energy in the UK.
